codes and conventions-   
•this cover can be seen as unconventional as it has vey few cover lines, no pull quotes, puffs and lacks a barcode and price. it is simplistic but bold with it relying on the audience to recognise the artist and identify with them in order to pick up a copy to want to read and find out more.
•the colour yellow is a code for joy, happiness as it is bright and happy feeling
layout and design-
•plain colour block background, allowing for the artist to be the main focus, ties in with the femenine floral feel.
language-very little explicit media language

Genre - categories genres help producers follow a pattern or a set of genre conventions which can often make it predictable as the audience has clues as to what they should expect. Genre paradigms, also known as genre conventions, are aspects of a media text that demonstrates to the audience what genre a media product fits into.
